Sandra’s fictional memoir, Footsteps of the Father, was among the ten finalists in the 2008 Dana Award novel competition, and also was invited into the second round of the James Jones Fellowship.  After publishing Good Girl, Better Girl, and One Man’s Trash, Sandra fulfilled a twenty-five year goal: writing a meaningful tribute to Henry Morrison Flagler, the co-founder of Standard Oil, who also developed much of the east coast of Florida. Finding multiple books that already told his story, Sandra chose a different approach and wrote Flagler, a screenplay.

And then what? For three-and-a-half years, Sandra invested more than 10,000 hours writing Before He Was President, a historical documentation of Donald Trump’s life before he took the oath of office. Not a biography, because that would be next to impossible. No, Before He Was President

is a compilation of the facts, events, and people leading to Donald Trump’s rise to power. It was announced on November 15, 2024 that Before He Was President was named as a finalist in the 2024 Independent Author Network Book of the Year Awards.
